I read that we can't load an 8-10 hour audio book onto an MP3 player. How do I listen to audio books in my car with NO CD play

I am assuming you have a tape player in your car. Get one of these:

I listen to 40+ hour audiobooks on my phone so pretty sure it can be done. Audible breaks them down into 8 or so hour chunks just to make downloads easier.

I also transcoded long audiobooks to mp3 and just copied to iPod.

You don't want a single 8-hour MP3 file if your player does not support audiobooks.. Navigating these is quite difficult if you have to restart listening from some chapter.

CD's? Use a 16gb flashdrive if your car can handle it. I have hundreds of hours of playing time on my flashdrive. I convert all files into mp3 format. I compress all files to extend the storage space. Hope this inspires someone with what is possible now days. God Bless.
