When you replaced it, did you make sure to disconnect, and then reconnect, both ends of the cable connecting it to the motherboard? Also did you make sure it was not pinched, bent, folded, etc.

Of course if the cable is being pushed on it can cause issues. Aside from checking the connections and cable, did you get the right screen for your model? One that is "close" to the same model screen may not work.
