i transfer pictures from camera to computer but they wont copy

I have newNikon d3300..in past I used a memory card or usb cable to transfer to computer and copy and then play with but now they show up but wont be there once I unplug camra

It could be that the auto sync is not on with your laptop. It automatically copy and save all your pictures from any device you connect to your laptop. You can do it manually as well, here's the complete tutorial from Microsoft support site.
