Until these 3rd party controllers allow full button mapping customization on par with the Elite, they can't match it.
I need to be able to remap the L3/R3 to the back buttons while setting the sticks to off. Only the Elite allows this.

It can be customized to a point. Only the 4 buttons on the back are mappable.

I would still choose the Razer Wolverine V2 Chroma. Aside from the unneeded LCD display TB offers, the Razer beats this controller in every way for $89.
