I want to get sound from cumputer not the projector using HDMI and computer connetion to system speakers

I was using my Accer computer with HDMI to get videos only on screen and earphone connection from computer to sound system head to get my sound from system speakers. Now I am using an HP computer and when I hook everything up as I did with the Accer the sound comes through the projector. Do I need to change a setting on the HP computer?

Yes you have to change settings on HP Laptop. After connecting your projector and laptop with hdmi cable, then go to start --->select control panel --> select hardware and sound ---> under sound select adjust system volume ---> under device select speakers[computer speakers] in place of hdmi [ which is might be set to default ]

Now you are ready to get sound from your hp laptop speakers which you can further connect with earphone or external speakers.
