I want to record shows off my TV

I have a DVR recorder and want to record show how do I do this with the newer TV's can do it with the old ones put not the newer ones please help

Well then your new TV doesn't have OUTs. Ur next option is record directly from set-top box or antenna if DVR has tuner built-in.
