I want to ROOT my Micromax A44

Please any one here give me some instructions/guidance/procedure for rooting this Micromax A44 mobile

chipset MTK6573
800Mhz Cpu Armv6

I had already tried unlockroot i got "failed to get shell root"

I've read on other sites that you have to use the recovery option and reset the firmware before trying to root.

Every phone is different so it's not like I can help you by telling you how I rooted my G2/Desire Z. XDA is going to be your best bet, they're all Android devs.
