One of these days, I will probably locate schematics for my player and
tap into the signal and mount a demodulator somewhere in there and
drill a hole on the back for an AC-3 output. Then i could finally
watch Mortal Kombat.
My receiver is an Aiwa AV-DV70 with built-in DD/AC-3(optical and
coaxial)..... do you think this would have a demodulator? I assume not?
I really want to get digital surround out of my player because my
stereo system is pretty kickass(despite the aiwa receiver.. it
surprisingly sounds VERY good.) 220 watt Yamaha 4-way fronts, Yamaha
200 watt center, and 150 watt Yamaha surrounds topped off with a 200
watt Cerwin-Vega 15" subwoofer.
I used to have a *sweet* Yamaha receiver system but the right channel
blew.
