Question I was stupid and i need to know how bad the damage to my laptop is

To preface this I know I was stupid and didnt think properly. So the context is that i didnt have a charger for my laptop While at my gfs house and she had some spares around. although the tips were the wrong size we found a charger which had the correct size for my laptop. This is where my first problem happened. one of the chargers (charger A) had the correct voltage but wrong amperage(i didnt know how important amperage was) and the other charger (B) had correct tip but everything was wrong so we cut the tip of and basically did some work to get the body of A and the tip of B. It seemed to work as it charged my laptop just fine so i went to the toilet but when i came back the laptop was completely dead and the bottom was hot as was the charger itself. When i got back home i ordered a new battery however the laptop is still not charging. Could anyone give me guidance on what might be broken? thank you in advance.


Edit: the reason im asking is because i need this laptop however im a bit broke at the moment and aparently according to the sellers all the parts are soldered on so it would basically be very expensive to fix(their words).
