For amateur photo edit in Lr&Ps, what to choose i5 with ssd and 7200 rpm hdd or quad i7 with ssd and 5400 rpm. Thanks

Solution
You didn't say LAPTOP anywhere in your original post, so I incorrectly assumed desktop. By the CPUs you listed this is obviously a laptop.
A 24GB SSD isn't much good for anything other than for use as a buffer. The i5 you listed is only a dual core CPU. For lightroom or Photoshop, I would have to get the i7 because it is a quad core.
I wouldn't buy any desktop disk that is 5400 RPM.

You should also put as much RAM as possible, and think about a RAMdisk for temp file space.

1. i5-4200H, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M (2GB GDDR5), 8GB RAM 120GB SSD + 1TB HDD 7200rpm 15.6 1920x1080 (Full HD) IPS
2. i7-4710HQ NVIDIA GeForce GTX 850M (4GB DDR3) 12GB RAM 24GB SSD + 1TB HDD 5400rpm display is the same

So what to choose?
