i7 4700 MQ with SLI GT 750m OR i5 4200 M with single GT 755m

I'm looking at the Lenovo Y series and wanted to know how much of an impact an i7 will have in gaming.

Will I be able to play games like Crysis 3, BF4 multiplayer an Metro last light, using an i5 4200 M coupled with SLI 750s? Or is a dual core just not good enough?

it mobile cpu. only anything with MQ is quad core, the other is 2 cores with HT. 2 cores is ok, but if you can afford an i7 go for it.

The i5 model is going for $850 on newegg and Amazon and that seems like a steal considering it comes with 2 750s. The SLI i7, however, is around $1200. So I guess what I'm wondering is if the i7 is worth the extra $350.

If i7 is really necessary for the games mentioned above, then I'd probably have to go with a single GT 755.

Lol I just realized the question is worded EXACTLY wrong. I meant the opposite of what I wrote 😛

i7 with single 755 vs i5 with SLI 750

some game required more CPU, some GPU. multiplayer need more cpu then GPU, and depend on the screen resolution, detail you want to play on, a 755 should work.

So the gtx 750M SLI is better than the gtx 755M none SLI if I don't care about CPU ?

The Y510P on lenovo site that is 1200$ has I7 & SLI GT755M, 10-15% more powerful than 750M SLI
