edit. If you know any good laptops in this price range that are good for gaming let me know. I play most league of legends, skyrim , Borderlands.

Considering the i5 model comes with a ssd and the i7 doesn't, I would be tempted to get the i5 version even if they were the same price.

Unless you are using programs that can take advantage of Hyper Threading which the i7 has but the i5 does not, then there is no real benefits to purchasing the version with the Core i7. Games will not take advantage of it.
