Has anyone used both i95 and i730 and have any comments? I will prob. buy
one of the 2 shortly.

I don't think I care about GPS (maybe it'll be indispensable to me someday,
but right now I don't care).
The i730 looks like it has a smaller screen than the i95.
Been told the i730 uses a different charger plug, so I can't just plug it in
where one of my other phones goes.
Also, because i730 accepts a different plug from my other phones, can't use
my car's installed hands free system (however, the i90 actually sounds
better on its own than the hands free system, so I **assume** the i95 and
i730 would have the same speakerphone quality as the i90? Is my assumption
correct?
And the answer and hang up buttons on the i730 look like they've been
reversed (WTF), a slight nuisance since we will still also have an i90 and
an i30.
So maybe the i95 looks better to me.
The price is about the same (nxtl is offering i730 for $150 w/2 yrs)
I heard the i730's had some sort of reception problem when they first came
out, but that's been fixed now.

But maybe I'm missing something.

Why is the i730 better than the i95? Lots of questions, thanks in advance
for your answers!

The i730 is an all around smaller phone, so from me using them both a short
ammount of time, it seemed like the i730 had a smaller but "prettier" screen.
Of course that'd be because of the i730 being able to use more colors.

Yeah I suppose that is the downfall of moving from the Condor series to the
Falcon series. But when the i730 came people were saying they were moding
their accessories and what not, I think they snapped off the center piece of
them IIRC. I'm sure there's some posts here and elsewhere that you could look
at.

Sounds the same to *me*, but more the likely from the i95 to the i730 there's
some slight difference. But to me it doesn't seem to be.

Of course it depends what you're looking for. If you're looking for the newest
and most feature rich Nextel, that'd be the i730. The i95 was/is a good phone
but it sticks with Nextel havin' pretty huge phones (which I never really
minded).

Some people had good luck and haven't had problems, others have had a bitch
load of problems. YMMV.

I guess you could just say it's better because it's newer. New 64K sim card,
holds _a lot_ more adresses and it's pretty much an improvement over the i95,
seems to be mostly minor improvements though. Like I said previously, it
depends on what you want out of you phone.

Personally I'm really waiting on the i930 or i960, but they won't be coming
out for awhile. I even think the i960's release date got changed to maybe 1Q
2005. So I've got a while to wait. <g>

Thanks for a very helpful response! Just needed to get a handle on some of
these questions so I can make a better decision.

Are these the phones I'm hearing about that are going to have the screen
quality of the 730 with the size of the 95? I think that's the phone that
I'm going to be waiting for.

The i930 and i960 are the new phones yes. They're supposed to be the more
feature rich ones. I can't remember which one has the built in camera, but one
of them does.

About the screen size or whatever, I can't really remember since it's been
awhile since I saw the Power Point presentation.

i930 is a smart phone coming out late this year before it will be the
i830 and a few month after the i860 which will basically be the same as
the i830 but a camera phone.
