my daughter tried to print an order page from onlione and the printer locked up. I had to restart my pc to unlock the page that would not delete. The PC restarted properly but the printer went off and I cannot get it to turn on, Alternate outlets don't help. What now?

She basically tried to print a webpage? That's probably unrelated to your printer issue. Before you try sending it for repair (make sure to get it free if the printer is under warranty), can you try using a different power cable? From pictures, it seems to use that standard power cord with the "figure-eight" shape on one end.
