IBM Patents Idea to Make the Entire Floor a Multitouch Area

We already have heart rate monitors that call an ambulance. We already have motion sensors to turn on lights and sound alarms at night. A weight and foot print detector is kinda pointless imo. I gain a few pounds over holidays and then lose them. I also change my shoes often. Everyone would have to go barefoot or register shoes in their name on purchase?
