Ideal CPU to go along with mobile GTX 680M in lappy?

Hey, gents.

Getting a lappy. Strictly gaming/school. No video editing.

That said, go with the i7 3740 6MB cache or splurge and get the i7 3840 8MB cache. For 2MB more cache it is almost $200 more. Worth it?

I've been led to believe the i7 3740 6MB cache will be plenty fine...true?

Not really worth the extra money, I would stick with the i7 3740.

That's not always true. These are for laptops, which means that unless one or both of them is a 'QM' chip, they're dual-core CPUs. You want a quad core for this sort of thing.
