if im installing windows on my Laptop it goes off.

In the BIOS disable power management.

If there are two memory modules, remove one and see what happens. If no change, replace that one and remove the other. Try again.

Also check the hard drive. Windows tends to spot faults when you install and should tell you. There are various other test programs available free on sites like MajorGeeks, CNET, FileHippo.
