i can't get my laptop to boot up. n its making funky noises n it hasn't been dropped

It doesn't have to be dropped to have issues. What kind of noises(Funky doesn't tell me anything), what are you seeing on the screen, and what model of laptop?

my hard drive has crashed. 🙁 thank goodness for extended warranty. ty all. it wldnt boot up at all. a message popped up sayin i need to insert reboot disc etc. it let me do a diagnostic n wldnt recognise the hard drive.
