I'm having issues disconnecting my battery on my Asus

This is my first time replacing something on my laptop and I have decided to replace my hard drive. I have the new hard drive cloned and ready to go in but I can't seem to get the battery to disconnect the image is the plug for my laptop

So like I said this is my first time opening up a laptop so I may be over paranoid but I just want to make sure this ribbon(I think that's what they're called?) doesn't have a lock or anything. Thanks for any help in advanced!

Hi,

There are actually 2 retaining clips that hold down the battery cable. Make sure to push both retaining clips located on both sides before you disconnect the cable.

Thank you. I'm trying to hold them down but it's so small I'm just jabbing at it. Is there anything you'd recommend to push them down? Also how dangerous is it swapping the hard drive out while shut down but without disconnecting the battery?
