I'm trying to connect an older stereo system to a new projector and watch things through a laptop but Im getting no sound.

I have an old sound system from the 1990s and a new crenova projector and I'm trying to hook them up, but when ever I do I am getting no noise out of the speakers.

What audio out on the sound system and audio in on the projector available?

Some projectors won't output audio from the HDMI input. You may have to get the audio from your source directly or use an HDMI input selector with audio extraction.
