I'm trying to get Windows 7 on my Toshiba laptop it had originally Windows 8, I followed threads on this site, which tell you to disable safe boot and UEFI mode well Toshiba in their infinite wisdom decided this laptop didn't need it, only releasing it after - how-ever I have already deleted the partitions and cannot boot from the HDD / CD / USB because of that CSM option not being enabled in BIOs.

Is there any way I can get the old partitions back from the HDD and start up the recovery process so that I can update the BIOs to get the UEFI option? Or have I bricked this laptop and my only solution is to send it back to Toshiba.

Most laptops are made to only work with the OS they were made with.

You will need to install Windows 8 back on it.

me too my laptop rejects every window i try its original widow i bought was window 8.1 what to do.
