Solved! Import Contacts from SD into Android GO 13

I've exported contacts fom my old phone to an SD card but can't find the import option in Android Go 13.
The Files app can see the vcf file, but all the help online says to go to the Import option on the Contacts menu - but there isn't one (not under Settings either), or to 'Fix and manage' at the bottom of the Contacts screen - again there isn't one!
How on earth?

Go is a cut down version of android.

Go to Contacts via the Google App (not the Phone app) > Organise (btm) > This device
> Import/Export
