In app video availability?

Hey guys, I am trying to understand if there is a way to incorporate a video record & share feature within an AR App where the AR feature is activated by markers on a t-shirt and you aren't placing it on a open plane. Reason I ask is we are currently developing an app for Augmented Reality t-shirts as a fun little capsule collection for our larger line but have hit a roadblock with our current developer as he maintains its not possible to video record the AR animation within the app you can only take a photo which defeats the purpose of having a racecar or character come to life.

Hoping that isn't too confusing as I am entirely green in the AR space but really want to find a trick or possibly updated plug-in/software that could allow us to record what is happening within the app and then be easily shared to instagram/facebook etc;

no idea abour AR stuffs
but video is just few pictures put together
so if can make picture, do it multiple times, then make video out of it?
