incrasing of video memory

Can i increase video memory upto 64mb.......i have intel64 family 6 model 37 stepping 5

You actually don't have any video memory. All of the memory is shared out of that 4gb of system RAM. It is possible to make your system think you have more video memory and less system memory, but --again-- that won't help anything.

So... you have an i5 m580? And you're using the integrated graphics? If so the only way to increase the video memory from integrated graphics is to increase your system RAM. The BIOS and OS will automatically allocate more memory to graphics.

You can probably adjust the amount of shared memory dedicated to the GPU in your BIOS, but doing so won't increase your performance.

It's a laptop using an old mobile i5. GPU upgrade is not an option.

Woops. Get some extra RAM then, secondhand ones go for cheap. But you're definitely not going to be able to get better video performance.

Depending on your BIOS you may be able to increase it from there. The best way is to add more RAM. The BIOS and OS will automatically set more available for graphics.

but i have only 64mb video memory with 4 gb ram........there should be 512mb video ram with 4gb

The OP and I have been passing PMs and he's using the IGP but wants to play GTA IV. I'm helping him pick out a real GPU that can do that.

Well, did you try to play it already on that pc? You might be able to play it with the graphics turned on it's lowest.
