Solved! Insignia boombox is no longer showing up as an available device

I have an Insignia boombox (NS-BBBT20). Its Bluetooth function used to work, but it is no longer showing up as an available device when my smart phone or Chromebook are made visible for pairing. In the past, if I had issues with my smart phone connecting to a Bluetooth device, clearing its Bluetooth cache would always work. Just for yucks, I tried doing that just now but to no avail. I think the issue is with the boombox itself. Any suggestions?

I will answer my own question. I was running off batteries. I removed the batteries and tried the AC cord, and that worked. Go figure!
