Inspiron 1545 backlight problems

Hello,i have a dell inspiron 1545, and there is no brightness, the backlight works, as i have tryed the screen on a hp pavilion laptop, so the screen is FINE, i replaced the inverter AND LCD cable for the screen, and to my dismay, no backlight. i dont know what is happening! i have googled everywhere, i found something about a fuse or something breaking and resoldering, but then i saw the title and it was an LED screen, i have a CCFL screen... PLEASE HELP!!! I DONT WANT TO WASTE ANYMORE MONEY!!! D:

Can you get an external monitor to work?
If you hold the laptop next to, or under, a bright light can you see anything on the screen?
