inspiron mini signon issue

Where you put the password in it's always been a white background. now it's a black background and it won't let me sign on. What happened???
it gives me the message....user profile service service failed the logon user profile cannot be loaded.

Sounds like a corrupted user profile. What version of Windows are you using? Also, can you successfully enter Windows via Safe Mode?
