Okay, i'm at my wits end here. I have an ACER laptop running Windows 8.1. It got tremendously plagued with viruses and various PUPs earlier this month. I got rid of the viruses and other nasties using a combination of MalwareBytes, CCLeaner, AdWareCleaner, RevPro Uninstaller and my own Kaspersky Internet Security Scan. This combination removed all but one thing: adverts from Insta Share.

I've uninstalled any remaining extensions from Google Chrome and Internet Explorer. I even uninstalled and reinstalled Chrome. I used SuperAntiSpyware, SpyBot, Hitman Pro and various other tools suggested on the Hirens Boot CD page. Still, the adverts remain!

Any help with getting rid of these adverts would be greatly appreciated.

Try creating a new user account and see if the new user is plagued as well... if it seems ok you could just copy all files, favorites, shortcuts, etc, over to the new account and avoid having to wipe your HDD and reinstall windows
