Installing a new Hard Disk on a HP 2000 Notebook

Hi guys...

I would like to install a new hard disk on my HP 2000 Notebook....but I think the recovery or “rescue” disk is on the partion D of that SAME Disk !!

It didn't came with a physical Win7 CD

My question is : How to reinstall Win7 on my new Hard Disk with the LEAST possible hassle ?

Download a Windows 7 disk image from the authorized online distributor (at no cost) from HERE and burn it to a DVD or make a USB installer stick using THIS TOOL and instructions.

Just be sure to download the same version that your authentication key is for -- usually you can find that on the Windows 7 sticker on your machine. Authenticate with that key after install.

Also you will need to download all the drivers from HP for the Windows 7 install and load them after the initial OS install.

I would not buy a refurbished HDD, as the warranty won't be adequate. The only site I ever look on up there is Newegg.ca.
