Integrated Graphics and Dedicated Graphics

A laptop has integrated graphics 5500 and Nvidia 940m. In this laptop integrated graphics is used or only Nvidia will be used?

The Nvidia graphics should be used, if you want to be sure, go to your Device Manager and click Display Adapters. Then click the integrated graphics and click disable by clicking the computer icon with the down arrow.

Normally the igpu will be used when low powered things are done like surfing the web. When demanding programs are used like a video editor then the dgpu takes over.
