Solved! Intel Driver Mishap on a Lenovo T510 running windows 10

someone please save me from this nightmare.
This all started when I got a used Lenovo thinkpad T510 from the good old pawn shop and upgraded it to windows 10. I cant seem to figure out how to update the driver controlling the "Intel HD graphics". I got all the other drivers running easily but the graphics driver. Ive tried the intel site and the Lenovo site to no avail. its on version 8.15.10.29000. intel is so obscure about drivers that I'm not even sure if the driver is already up to date but "warthunder" says otherwise

try using a win8/8.1 drivers as laptop was not designed for win10.

Ive tried this. The issue might come from the fact that whenever I attempt to update the driver I get an "Unknown error" or something like "Computer does not meet minimum requirements" From the standalone intel driver installers.
