Intel Driver Update Utility - Should I Download?

I recently had gotten a Blue Screen of Death Error (Code 0x00000124) and I believe to have concluded that the main problem may have been with corrupt or missing drivers. I had to do a system restore from back when I first built my pc and I think I have fixed the problem (only getting the error code on 1 game so far). I had heard that getting the Intel Driver Update Utility (http/www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/detect.html) may be a good installation for my computer, but wanted some more insight as I don't know much about it. Is this a safe app to download or should I just skip it? Has anyone else used this before; what do you think of it? Should I look for another option? I just want to make sure I have the most updated drivers for my machine so that the error code does not reoccur.

Try to download the Intel drivers from the website of the company that made your motherboard first. Go to that companies website, and search for the model of motherboard that you have. Then look for the "Support" link and click on that, and then look for a downloads link. If they have the intel drivers bundled up there, those will be the drivers that company tested and found to work with that motherboard.

I only recommend going to the Intel Download Center if your motherboard manufacturer does not have the Intel driver files available on their web site.
