intel i5-2450M temp

I got a kinda old laptop Toshiba Satellite C660

which have Intel processor I5-2450M sandy brdige 2.5GHZ (4CPUs)

no any over clocks

My temp on idle or 5%~10% cpu usage is 45~52 depends on room temp 😀

and on some hard game i tested which use 90%~99% cpu usage the temp go up to 80~90

just wanted to make sure is that normal or this need some clean or something, and for that game which use my whole cpu is cooler pad will be useful or not?

and playing for hours will affect cpu/burn it or not?

Your CPU is dual core, not quad.

Your idle temps seem ok but the load temps are approaching their critical. I would use the laptop cooler as this could damage other components.

Second the cpu usage shouldn't be that high. What settings are you playing this game in?

Also a dust clean up maybe a good idea as you have had the laptop for a long time.
