Intel core i5 4690k is best for gaming with a good Graphics card. If you have a good Graphics card then I5 4690k is best for gaming.

Faster? In which aspect? If you are telling about gaming and video editing then i5 4690k is faster. If you only want gaming then AMD FX-8320 or any FX-8000 series is better but if you have a good dedicated graphics card and want a performance in other works and tasks like video editing and rendering then you will need i5 4690k but for heavy video editing then most recommended is i7 4770k or i7 4790k is best a ax it has 4.0 GHz of initial frequency clock. If you have budget the i5 4690k is better. It not actually depends on cores, AMD cores and underachievers and Intel cores are toppers in some conditions. You can't compare a truck with a F1 racing car as F1 racing car want much more fuel that Intel takes in the form of money and a truck gives more milage in less petrol. Conclusion is that if you have very less budget then go for AMD and If you can spend for i5 4690k then you definitely want to get that. And as I said earlier i7 4790k is best if you can invest over it.
