Interesting 6800GS unlock topic.

Also when I unlock the pipes I get no artifacts in gaming and the usual in ATI Tools (slight artifacts which I ignore).

However I notice almost no performance increase!
BFG 6800GS 370mhz core 1.05ghz memory.

I plan to overclock sometime.

Doom 3 I get 51.5fps with lock and 52fps with unlock.
(1024x768 4x AA high quality VSYNC) timedemo demo1

CPU bottleneck? P4 3ghz HT

What do you guys think?

I also have a 6800GS, runs stable @ ~ 430/1100Mhz
How do i attempt to 'unlock pipes'?
s/ware needed etc...?

Start with RivaTuner to unlock the pipes.

You just have to insure your 6800 is NV40 based.

You can find countless unlocking guides, just use the power of google.

Could def. use more cpu juice. Why 1024x768??? LCD?
Try disable vsync. Some games dont show adverse effects. I get 5-20% more fps in Oblivion with minimum visual disturbance.

Well...I like twist ties, I'll say that much. But i actually had to bend the heatpipes a bit so its at a slight angle towards the bottom of the case.

I have a Gigabyte Aurora coming in the next week, I'll post pics of it then when I actually have the room. Plus, I think I might have to buy a new camera ........I'll get em though.
