internet activation

the only phone I have is a cell, and I don't want to get a landline
just for that. I do have cable internet though. So can I activate a
replaytv using my net connection?

Yes. My 2 5xxx units have never been connected to phone. My network
has has cable internet since before I got those Replays.

Thanks for the info. I do have a home network using a netgear router.
Now all I have to do is figure out where to put the IR blaster on my
Scientific Atlanta 3100 cable box lol

It's on the left side. You can look through the red plastic and see the
receiver (on the right is a capacitor).
