internet connection needed

My laptop does not show the available wireless connections. it shows a red X on internet icon. Help

Isokolon, thanks for your answer. Yah it should be drivers which are screwed up. What can I do? The wifi is just ok and I am using it on other PC's

reinstalling the drivers.
if you got the installation disc that came with your laptop
unsinstall the current drivers and reinstall them from disk
otherwise donwload the drivers with your phone or an other device and plug it with USB to your laptop
