Internet connection problems

I cannot connect to any internet connection - also cannot connect to printer from my Dell 3000 series. This laptop is only 2 months old.

Yes- I can get to control panel and use function keys

I think the wireless adapter may be damaged. Do you have an external on you can try?

Also is your copy of windows genuine?

It won't connect if I connect straight to the modem either- nor will it connect to my phone used as a hot spot. Continually says no internet connection found. I'm on W10- came loaded on it.
