Not sure what to go for security wise, could someone suggest the best cheap security? Antivirus etc

I will go with Dr.Web security software. It perfectly protects my PC.

bottom line is look for reviews for any antivirus or antimalware programs.never heard of dr web tho.

The title knocks Microsoft, but the article does list how well other Anti-Virus programs perform.

Thanks guys, I'll have a look at avast and malwarebites, do these include ad blockers and the likes? Complete novice here as you can probably tell 😉

you can enable adblock or adblock plus for your browser.it blocks pretty much everything.do also look into malwarebytes anti exploit.its free as well.also enable your windows firewall.this "layered" protection should do you well.
