iPad Mini crashing

My wife's iPad Mini crashes to a black screen in (almost) all Apps. She waits a while and it appears to reconnect but goes back to the opening screen!

Hi,

Try doing the reset. Press the Home button twice and close all apps. Press down the Home and On buttons altogether until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. Let me know if this step worked for you. Thanks!
