"There's also indication that fans who plan to camp out in lines for the device will receive a "special gift."

Special gift? Like an accessory that you have to spend an additional $40 for?

[citation][nom]Rab1d-BDGR[/nom]Without the promise of the "special gift" I wonder whether the queues might not form for once. There is nothing wrong with the technology and design behind it per se, but that is a lot of $$$$ for something that cannot replace any of your existing hardware - so it is yet another thing to have to buy and upgrade. Also, everyone knows that they will be releasing iPad 2.0 early next year which will include all the things that were arbitrarily cut from this one. This launch could well be an iFlop.[/citation]

And for those of you into High Performance Computing (HPC), that would be a Giga-iFlop...

Or Newman jumping into a backyard pool... a Belly-iFlop...

None of these are especially attractive iDeas...

Um...they are out at Walmart and other retail stores already. Been out for a while now. My wife usually buys some every month.

It was pointless to read the Article. Really.

Yeah, why wait in line when you can just order over the phone from late-night commercials, right Trueno07? Millions of men have already tried them, could they afford to make that offer if they didn't work?

Apple made some money on the iPad, but the real money is all those applications, device is one thing, but the money is in addons.
