There are no difference between that single core/dual core or coming up quad core for most of the people out there.

False, the more speed you have the further you can go, the more you can do. The same applies to open standards versus locked down standards. Give the people the ability to expand and explore and do. Dont lock them up in exorbitant metal cases and tell them that they are free but toodumbtoknow. Boycott Apple and the MSM.

It sums up one Apple user. Not millions of Apple users.

The average Apple user is a technological moron. He goes by what the MSM says, and the narrowly owned MSM is rigged and in Apple's favor. Wake up! Ditch Apple.

Technologically, the iPhone 4S is just as much of an upgrade as the Galaxy S II was

The Galaxy S 2 has more battery power and is overall a more sophisticated device. User exchangeable battery is a nice feature, also micro sd card easily accessed after back cover is removed. USB port also, and Flash support. It is a superior device. Iphone 4s is a locked down device. Because the phone you can use a micro sd card, you can house you music file there and use a program like the android winamp app (free) to access your music freely and without the dumbyou jailing of iTunes. You can ditch, copy, borrow, transfer mp3 files or any file freely without restriction. No you dont need the iCloud. You can keep you music files and other files up to date in your micro sd card which can be as big as 32 gig. Remember the iCloud allows you only 5gig for free and you have to trust Apple with your privacy, something I wold be be very very cautious with given their history of deceit. Anyway, after comparing the iPhone to the Galaxy S II, no intelligent self-respecting person could choose the iPhone 4s. Standby time for the Galaxy is Up to 252 hours versus 200 hours for the iPhone 4s, with more talk time for the Galaxy S II as well.

If you are dumb or like being treated like a moron with Steve Jobs and Apple deciding things like if you can or can't watch dirty pics, then get the iPhone. Else ditch it and move up to the light.

Come to Canada we have tons of iPhone 4s just sitting on the shelves 😀

The new OS5 is now faster browsing (java) than Android, this is a big improvement and a needed one. And this is not just for the 4s but the 4 and 3gs. However only the 4S has HSPA so on wireless data only the 4S is faster than android (3G models). Its a nice phone I would buy Iphone if it could do what I wanted, but unfortunately I have to use Android that crashers once a month, and OS updates take ages to be rolled out.

[citation][nom]AndrewMD[/nom]This proves that people prefer function over latest and greatest not proven.I for one, like being able to use my iPhone with 9%% uptime. This is not the same story I get from my co-workers that use Android devices which seem to crash randomly anytime something important comes up. If Samsung would adopt a similar practice of release a new phone every year, instead of every month, then maybe they can work out a lot of the issues they have. The only thing I have to say is thank you to all the Android users, without you, the iPhone wouldn't be where it is today.[/citation]

Paid apple shill detected.

[citation][nom]watcha[/nom]Technologically, the iPhone 4S is just as much of an upgrade as the Galaxy S II was. Bear in mind, it is much faster GPU/CPU wise than the Galaxy S2, and has better battery life. The iPhone 4 was not an easy act to follow being the best selling smartphone ever.[/citation]
I wouldn't consider it a much faster CPU/GPU

ummm dont understand all the hype , the hardware is still behind other smartphones , yet the sheep still suffer from stockholm syndrome...

The Galaxy S2 does NOT have more battery power and is most definitely NOT a more sophisticated device. The customer satisfaction ratings are awful and many complaints centre around battery life. The IPhone 4S improves on the battery life of its predecessor and has far superior customer satisfaction ratings.

User exchangeable battery can be achieved with iPhone by simply using a mobile charger, which takes up the same space in your pocket that a second battery would. Micro SD card? I don't need that, I just synchronise documents wirelessly over the cloud. The iPhone can connect by USB, and you can download an app to make flash support.

'It is a superior device' means nothing - the fact the iPhone is 'locked down' brings security benefits, as the many recent Android failings demonstrate.

You don't need to use iTunes on the iPhone to use it to play music, you can play music without using an SD card at all by playing through iCloud. You can also transfer mp3 files as much as you want (i've done this myself).

If you don't want to use the iCloud for storage, fine, you have every option Android users have. They DON'T have the option of the free 5gb and seamless integration in the cloud.

There isn't more talk time with the Galaxy S2 - there are all kinds of complaints about that. The iPhone has a smaller footprint (volume), better screen DPI, more apps, Siri, longer battery life, far higher customer satisfaction feedback, a SIGNIFICANTLY (nearly 2x) faster CPU/GPU combination, access to iCloud.. the list goes on.

Dude, you need to become more technically astute. The benchmarks which aren't 'offscreen' are limited on the iPhone 4S by VSYNC - the actual FPS would be much higher if not for that. Hence the only 2 metrics which can be directly compared are the 'offscreen' ones, in both of which the iPhone 4S is significantly faster.

The hardware is better (in terms of CPU/GPU/Camera and screen DPI) than ANY other phone in the market right now.

Nuf sed.

First, I never said it was faster than the iPhone 4S.
Second, let's analyze the results shall we? In one of the tests the iPhone 4S was 46% faster than the Galaxy S II and in the other it was 26% faster. Yet you claimed many times that the iPhone 4S is twice faster than the Galaxy S II, when it's not even one and a half faster.
Also, let's not forget that the Galaxy S II was released almost half a year before the iPhone 4S.

I also find very funny that now, the only time that Apple has faster hardware than the competition, the specs do matter. When the iPhone 4 was slower than the Galaxy S, I didn't heard this kind of boast from Apple fanboys. All they said was that specs didn't mattered, but apparently now they do.

Imagine their surprise when the big secret, that it has only 512 meg of ram is in the open. Oh, I forgot that iCrap fanboys are MORONS...

[citation][nom]otacon72[/nom]..and in a few months when the iP5 comes out I'll be laughing my ass off at all these jokers who are stuck with the 4s for 2 years on contract.[/citation]
Whats this 'few months' bs? If you want to hate on a company, at least use the truth to do it.. The iPhone is only updated once every year, and since the 4S was late its been even longer than a year since the iPhone4 was released.
