Iphone 5c sound not working properly

About a month ago i got my headphones stuck in my iphone 5c and i had to tweeze it out every since then when i put headphones in the music is clear i can hear the background music but not the words and when i take the headphones out when on the phone the person on the phone cant hear me

Look on the headphone jack and see if it has one, two, or three rings around the tip. Like this one that has three:

If it has two or more rings you may have damaged one of them. Meaning it would only play in one ear. Is it playing in both ears or in one? What do you mean when you say "when i take the headphones out when on the phone the person on the phone cant hear me"? If you remove the headphones while talking through them then you would have to talk into the phone. You may have damaged the ring that controls the microphone on the headphones. I just need some more specific answers. Please reply and feel free to ask more questions.
