Irca gone stupid

My RCA Viking Pro will power up but once it's on it acts like it's asleep and will not respond got it for Christmas there's no warranty on it what can I do to get it to work

If you got it over this past Christmas, new, then it should have a warranty with the manufacturer (most have a year). I would contact them.
