For that price range, that's probably about the best you'll get. Dell annoys me that they keep stuffing the low-power U-series chips into their laptops instead of the more powerful i5/i7 M/HQ-series processors.

It will run basic AutoCAD/what have you OK, but it will take a bit longer than a more powerful machine to render complex drawings.

It won't stutter if that's what you mean, but it won't have the oomph that a higher-power CPU would give you. We use full-blown i7 laptops at work for a variety of engineering/imagery applications. My personal 2-core i5 laptop is much slower at those same tasks, but fine for general use.
