Is ios 8 safe

The last time I updated my iphone 4s to ios 7 I lost my wifi. I've had to buy a new iphone 5s because of this.
I still haven;t updated my 5s because I'm afraid the same thing will happen. Can anyone put me straight on this please....should I update ??

It's probably fine. No real reason to update unless there's something specific about iOS 8 that you want though. It's usually better to just stick with what works imo, since new updates will often present new problems,

Same here. Some bugs exist on network connection and Touch ID...org

I bought imatch recently because I had to buy/install a new hard drive for my laptop,. thinking that I would be able to retrieve songs which I didn't buy from the iTunes Store.
This is the reason why I needed to know about updating the iOS.
Unfortunately,..... I still can't retrieve my songs, because seemingly they were on my old hard drive which I left with the repair shop.
