I have a Sony BDV-E6100 home theater and I'd like to connect my PC directly to it, and then connect this home theater to my HDTV.

That way I can take advantage of the audio of the home theater and use the TV as the screen for my PC.

I can connect my PC to my TV directly via HDMI just fine but I can't then derive the audio to the home theater because my TV doesn't support ARC.

Do you guys think this is possible?

Your HTiB does not have any video inputs so you cannot connect your PC to it with HDMI. The only way to do this is to connect the PC to the TV for video and the HTiB with an audio output from your PC. The HTiB has an optical input so you would use that. If you don't have optical out you can add a soundcard or extract the audio from the HDMI output with one of these:

@americanaudiophile, fortunately my motherboard has optical output that I can use to connect to the sound system. The only real bother is that they are a bit far from each other but at least that's a real solution to my problem.

Thanks for helping out :)
