is it safe to play with batteries while charging?

My dell inspiron 5437 cant do stuff without batteries, if i play without batteries while charging it will automaticaly turn off and that sucks,so i put on the batteries while charging. Is it safe?
Will it decrease my battery perfomance?

Yeah i mean the laptop will sometimes just turn off if i play while connecting to the charger and without batteries
This is one problem on dell inspiron5437
So im forced to use the batteries while charging while playing
Will it spoil my batteries?
Or any idea so i can play WITHOUT the batteries?

Hi, you have to tell me what you are doing. you said "cant do stuff without batteries, if i play without batteries while charging it will automatically turn off" how can you charged without battery, if you mean you can't use the laptop without the battery, the adapter is defective.
