is it worth it to get MSI GE60 secondhand laptop?

so today i have an offer and wanted to get experts opinion on this matter, this guy wanted to sell me his old model of MSI GE60, the spec are as follow ;

i7-4800MQ processor
Nvidia geforce GT 750m/2gb GDDR5
15.6FHD 1920x1080
HDD 750gb
ram 8gb

the price tag is for $385 usd, didn't know the specific model but the seller said the battery is ok,
so my question is

is it worth it to get this laptop for the price? and worth buying for casual gaming( current games) and office work?

It will run many games, but for a used system not in warranty, especially a gaming laptop that generates a lot of heat and stress on the components, I would not spend almost $400 on one when you can get a new one that is faster for about $600-800.

You can also look around in your area for a system with a 950m or a 960m video card.

thank you sir, was planning to get for moderate editing/ rendering but felt that i should have saved for a better ones, who know what problem might occur later on which gives much hassle and increase cost.
