Is my laptop good for video/gaming uploads

Hello. Thank you for your time. My son is into uploading videos to YouTube. The types of videos range from Xbox One games and wants to start making his own videos. The guy at Best Buy showed me 2 HP Envy laptops, $800 & $900. I did some research and found a laptop for $500, HP Notebook 15-ay013dx. The specs are:
6th gen Intel i5-6200u
1TB hard drive
6144MB DDR4 SDRAM
Windows 10

The laptop salesman showed had more RAM and he stated they were better made laptops. Processor and hard drive are the same.

Will you give me your opinion on this laptop and if it will work for him and if it will have longevity? Right now he makes videos/movies on his Xbox but will need the laptop to upload and create the clips into movies and then upload voices. Please reply at your earliest convenience. The Envy models are premium models, with a higher price tag, but they are better quality.

For video editing you want a better CPU, the U models are lower wattage dual core CPUs. The HQ CPUs are true quad core systems but prices are a few 100 more than the U models.
